A Market and more

It´s a beautiful day in an amazing place in London. Magicians, jugglers and dancers are performing in the streets. Hundreds of people are shopping at the market, going to shows, or having a drink with friends. So what is this place? It´s Covent Garden!

Covent Garden is a big area in the centre of London with a market and an open “piazza”. It´s got theatres, museums, restaurants, galleries and shops. Shopping at Covent Garden is great. People sell clothes, antiques, art and more. But most important of all, Covent Garden has got some of the best street entertainers in the world.

Covent Garden is one of the only places in London with street entertainers. They come from around the world to perform there. People love watching the street entertainers and they usually give them money. During the year, Covent Garden has many special events and festivals and there is always something new to see. So come and join the fun at Covent Garden. Get a cup of coffee at one of the “cafés” and enjoy the fantastic shows.
